Follow the record
Vinyl Watch helps you organise a vinyl collection and wantlist, explore artists, and check available music information. Keep your account credentials private and connect only accounts you own or have permission to use.
Coverage and accuracy
Music catalogues are extensive but incomplete. A record, artist, shop or listing may be missing. Snapshot metadata is labelled with its date; live results identify their sources. A lack of results does not prove a record is unavailable everywhere.
Marketplace asking prices are not completed-sale valuations. Saved sale evidence is identified separately with its source, date and confidence; it does not guarantee the value of your copy or predict future prices. Verify pressing identifiers, condition, shipping, dates, stock and ticket details directly with the seller or official source before buying. Shop leads and saved bookmarks are not a guarantee of current inventory. Similar-artist recommendations do not establish a documented influence.
Automatic checks aim to keep followed artists and watched records current, subject to provider access, caching, quotas and research budgets. They are not continuous monitoring of every website. A saved upcoming release date can pause repeated artist research until after that release. Daily reports use saved activity; optional email notices can be disabled in notification settings.
Purchases and membership
Record and ticket purchases happen on external websites under those sellers’ terms. Vinyl Watch does not currently take payment for records or tickets. Gift ideas link to external shop leads; gift checkout, payment, recipient-address delivery and guaranteed duplicate prevention across all purchases are not available. Membership and in-app purchase screens are previews: no subscription, trial billing or charge starts from them.
Sharing and private records
Your profile, collection, wantlist and stores start private. You control optional profile visibility and the audience for each shared section. Accepted friends can see only the sections you choose to share with friends. Keep records hidden if you do not want them in shared lists. Public profile metadata can be viewed without signing in and may be saved by others; changing visibility cannot recall copies already saved.
Private acquisition details, addresses, connected-service credentials, receipts and record photos are excluded from shared profiles. Owner exports and inventory PDFs may contain the private information you choose to include. Check downloaded files before forwarding them. Saved prices, condition and acquisition details are supplied or imported information; an inventory PDF is not a certified valuation or insurance policy.
Respect the community
Do not use the app to harass people, access someone else’s private data, evade service limits or submit misleading content. Suggestions and account reports go through review. Blocking removes signed-in social access between the two accounts, but it does not make public information unavailable to every anonymous visitor. Submit sources and pictures only when you have the right to share them.
Your data and leaving
Your account controls your collection and preferences. You can export your data and delete your account in settings. Read the privacy notice for data handling, connected services and retention.
Third-party services
External catalogues and stores have their own availability, limits and policies. Connections or searches may be temporarily unavailable, and access may change. This application uses Discogs’ API but is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Discogs. ‘Discogs’ is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC.
Postcode data
Optional postcode lookup uses Postcodes.io. Data acknowledgements: Ordnance Survey, Royal Mail, National Statistics and NRS (2025). Crown copyright and database rights apply, alongside Royal Mail’s rights. See the provider’s data licences and notices. Device location remains an alternative where postcode lookup is unavailable.
